A Little Bit Of History
United Systems Mechanical, LLC has built a reputation for providing quality mechanical construction and related support services for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects in the State of Washington for the past 33 years.
Originally established in 1983 when a few professional mechanical design engineers and air balance technicians broke apart from McKinstry Company, United Systems, Inc. was initially organized as an air balance firm, specializing in the air balance and testing of HVAC and related mechanical systems for new construction and remodel projects. One of the first projects under contract by this new company was the air balancing for the new King County Jail facility that was just being completed.
Over the next few years the company grew in both size and capacity by adding several new services. The mechanical construction department was added first, then the mechanical maintenance and service department, followed by the energy management and controls team that was established in 1989. The company eventually grew such that at one point there were over 100 full-time employees doing over $10 million in annual revenue.
Towards the end of 2004 it was decided that the company would be better suited to serve our individual customers needs if it were smaller and more responsive so it was decided to divide the company up into smaller entities and in November of 2004 the HVAC design and construction division was separated and reorganized as United Systems Mechanical, LLC.
